Trivia:
The "Classic Collection" DVD boxsets omit at least one episode, "Casanova Cat". It has been generally viewed as one of the more blatantly racist Tom & Jerry episodes, as Jerry appears in blackface and tap dances to "Swanee River". moreGoofs:
Continuity: In the episode "Royal Cat Nap", while Tom watches the cardinal's sleep, he spots Jerry eating some cheese on the night-stand. When he points his sword to Jerry, the mouse points to Nibbles (supposedly), but when the camera moves it shows the same Jerry as before holding a vase. moreQuotes:
Tom Cat: [singing to a female cat] Is you is, or is you ain't my bay-bay... moreMovie Connections:

One could say great partners can be found in such characters like Butch & Sundance, Thelma & Louise Batman & Robin, or Woody & Buzz. But nothing beats the hell of the lovable cat-n-mouse duo - Tom and Jerry. Every time they appeared on the show, expect great action-packed comedy with more or less hints on real world. I could watch the series re-runs again and again, even it's shown here in the wee hours on Cartoon Network ( a good dose before or during interval of soccer live matches). Nevertheless, this gangly duet is my favorite buddies for pure entertainment. Heck, I'm nearing my 30's but heck, for stress reduction (and being a homey guy), I really enjoy watching the same story-line of Tom chasing/punishing/conning/etc,etc Jerry. A classic, if not a worthwhile, fun-filled series.
