Cher and Johnny Knoxville Drop Out

18 January 2009 8:16 PM, PST | TheMovingPicture.net | See recent TheMovingPicture news »

Cher and Johnny Knoxville have signed on to star in The Drop Out, a comedy being written and directed by Ricky Blitt. John Jacobs (Blades of Glory, My Boss's Daughter) is producing. Knoxville plays a 35-year-old career college student who is finally kicked out of his parents house. Desperate, he decides to get in good with the 62-year-old woman next door (Cher), so he can keep his food, couch and TV regimen intact. In the mix is the woman's ne'er-do-well son, who is looking for a father figure, even if it's a guy his own age. The filmmakers are actively casting the son role. Blitt, a former producer and writer for Family Guy, also wrote the 2005 comedy The Ringer, which starred Knoxville and was produced by Jacobs and the Farrelly Brothers. Cher’s last big screen role was in 2003 in the Farrelly Brothers comedy Stuck on You. »
