Trivia:

Originally, Matthew Lillard would scream for a very long time to make his voice all hoarse to do a perfect Shaggy imitation. It didn't work out, so he began trying to imitate the voice he did when his voice was all tired out from all the screaming.

Goofs:

Plot holes: It seems that it is unnecessary to go to the trouble of setting the trap in the cave. The same objective could be accomplished by spilling the vat in the middle of the day, when all the students are outdoors. Velma's head has shown us that the heads are capable of flying to other parts of the island to find their bodies.

Better than I expected.

Okay, this film is rather sophmoric, but some of the jokes actually were effective, the special effects were very good (except for scooby-doo himself, who looked like something made on a home computer), and the creature designs were very creative. The cast is also quite good. So, if you can over-look scooby-doo himself, just appreciate it for what it is: a enjoyable remake of the TV series.
