Most of the violence is implied, rather than shown. The conclusion (mild spoiler) is darker than the tone of the movie up till then would lead you to believe.

One character is a former alcoholic. Another attends a party where there is binge drinking and downs mixed drinks quickly. Discussion of drug use; one character claims facetiously to have a prescription for marijuana. During one scene it's implied that the main cast is all on drugs.
