this was a lot of fun, was a wonderful concept and nicely realized. unfortunately Margit carstensen evidently backed out at the last minute. &sadly, Rosa decided to edit Julianne Lorenz's comments out that Fassbinder was not gay feeling it would have made the film "about her controversy" but...perhaps it was a facet of the strange little nexus that was the Fassbinder phenomenon... and... I forget whether . . . irm Hermann was in it... or was it she who backed out. well it's been awhile since I saw it. I believe in this one someone accuses harry baer of being his Rainer Werner's coke dealer! spoilers here may be inaccurate. sad that this wasn't released on video as surely people would have gobbled it up in rentals. . .. no, I"m pretty sure it opens with irm hirmgard at Fassbinder's grave, in fact. . .
like most Germans Rosa had little use for Fassbinder's movies, he said... and preferred at the time this film was made to worship at the alter of victor salva!
