The movie was released in the time when the debate of Rights to Die started in China. Unlike previous works of contemporary criticism, the director just explores the social dilemma faced in modern society.
The similarity between this film and the critic type film such as Changing Face, the director's last movie, was that both used stories that at first glance, seemed unrelated to the theme behind the cover story. In this case, the cover story is a romantic tale.
The film left the question unanswered: does anyone has the right to decide the death of loved ones if the loved ones becomes vegetable? Audience will have something to think about it.
