I believe that this production was staged at Glyndebourne,and was,obviously,set during the Renaissance.So,it makes a lot of sense to have the wise sage,Seneca,the most noble and honorable character in the opera,made up to look like the wise,noble,and honorable Leonardo DaVinci.Bravo!
