Just like part 1, the producers wanted to avoid an NC-17-rating by the MPAA for the theatrical release. To achieve that, some changes had to be made. But the unrated cut of the movie also contains scenes that are not worthy to cut out but could have been removed in terms of pacing. The unrated edition runs more than 6 minutes longer than the theatrical cut. A detailed comparison between both versions can be found here.
