I realize that by writing this item, I not only outed the fact that I've seen 2002's Maid in Manhattan, but also that I consider the casting of Tyler Posey, the guy who played Jennifer Lopez's son in the film, as the star of MTV's Teen Wolf pilot worthy of an exclamation point. But come on! He was adorable in Maid in Manhattan! Granted, I haven't seen him act since then (he did do a recent stint on ABC Family's Lincoln Heights, pictured), but look at that face and tell me those eyes don't draw you in.

When Harry Met Sally (1989)
No, no, you did not have great sex with Sheldon. A Sheldon can do your income taxes. If you need a root canal, Sheldon’s your man. But humpin’ and pumpin’ is not Sheldon’s strong suit. It’s the name. “Do it to me, Sheldon. You’re an animal, Sheldon. Ride me, big Shel-don.” Doesn’t work.
Synopsis
Harry Burns (Billy Crystal) and Sally Albright (Meg Ryan) meet while sharing a ride from Chicago to New York City after college. After some awkward situations and interesting conversation, they part ways a little less than amicably. Five years later, they bump into each other again, and once again part under less than ideal conditions. Five more years go by and both have seen their share of love’s ups and downs. This time, however, their friendship is able to blossom, and as it develops the central question of the film is tested: “Can

The Proposal DVD Review

2009 has been a tough year for standard-issue romantic comedies. “The Proposal,” which in any other year would have been a decent entry in a tired genre, really looked simple next to genre-benders “500 Days of Summer” and “Paper Heart.” The film is decent, for what it is. People who like the “Sweet Home Alabama”s and “Maid in Manhattan”s of the world will feel right at home with this one. But those select few should’ve caught the film in theaters; there’s no real reason to buy the DVD. More after the jump.
“The Proposal” tells the story of Margaret Tate (Sandra Bullock), a hotshot New York book editor who’s facing deportation and needs to marry her hated assistant, Andrew (Ryan Reynolds), to remain in the country. Unfortunately, she hatches this scheme right on the heels of Andrew’s grandmother’s (Betty White) birthday, forcing him to go up north to Sitka,

A lot of people think that when you've made it as an actor in Hollywood you never need to worry about making money again. That couldn't be farther from the truth.
A-list stars might command $15-20 million dollars per movie that they're in but their shelf life could be fleeting, especially if you're an actress working in show business. Once they've made it the smarter stars set up their own production companies which serve two purposes: they can start developing projects that they can shape and have some control over and it also serves as a back-up revenue generator, potentially creating movie projects that other movie studios might want to partner with.
Take for example Julia Roberts' Red Om Productions. She set up the company about a decade ago and its first movie was Maid in Manhattan. Roberts was nowhere in that film but she starred in Mona Lisa Smile

Life moves pretty fast. If you don't stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it... deadpans a squeeky little Mathew Broderick to camera.
It's a line I've heard and read and had quoted at me since I was 10. Before we all grew up and discovered that the titular character was really nothing but an annoying, manipulative, little punk, there was something about Ferris Bueller that made every high school kid want to skip school and tell the whole world they were "Abe Froman, the Sausage King of Chicago" at fancy restaurants.
There was always another part of me that was horribly disappointed when my own detentions didn't feature a dance off or shed any light on the jock, the cute quiet girl, the cool guy, the nerd or the priss at my own little town high school... of course, bringing Kelly Le Brock to life in

Veteran actress Vanessa Redgrave has postponed her New York stage return in The Year Of Magical Thinking following the tragic death of her daughter Natasha Richardson.
The Maid In Manhattan star died last Wednesday after suffering a traumatic brain injury during a skiing lesson in Montreal, Canada.
She was laid to rest on Sunday, near the upstate New York home she shared with actor husband Liam Neeson and their sons.
Redgrave was due to perform her one-woman play, adapted from Joan Didion's book, at the Cathedral Church of St. John the Divine on 27 April, but she has now chosen to reschedule the date to allow her time to mourn.
The British actress originally starred in the 2007 Broadway adaptation of the harrowing retelling of the deaths of the author's husband and daughter.
Cathedral officials are working on securing a new date for the show, according to church spokesman Jonathan Korzen.

Richardson's Uncle Dedicates Performance To Tragic Star

The uncle of actress Natasha Richardson paid a moving tribute to his late niece, dedicating his theatre performance on Friday night to the star.
Corin Redgrave, brother of Richardson's mother, Vanessa Redgrave, returned to the London stage for his role in Trumbo following the Maid In Manhattan star's death on Wednesday.
He revealed his devastation at the loss of a treasured family member, saying: "She was the most adorable niece, most adorable person. Generous, kind, funny with a brilliant talent.
"I will miss her terribly and my thoughts at this time are with Vanessa, Liam and the children."
His tribute came on the same night as theatres across the British capital dimmed their lights to honour the star.
Venues in the West End held a two minute switch-off just before curtain-up time "as a mark of respect for both Natasha Richardson and her immediate family, and for the Redgrave family as a whole who have made such a unique contribution to British theatre".
Nica Burns, president of the Society of London Theatre, added that it was "a gesture of condolence at this sad time".
Richardson lost her fight for life after suffering a traumatic brain injury while learning to ski in Montreal, Canada earlier this week (begs16Mar09).
And it has emerged that the star turned down the offer of a protective helmet during the fateful lesson.
A staff member at Mont Tremblant tells British newspaper The Sun, “We are heartbroken that we didn’t do more to persuade her to wear one. A helmet would have cost her just ten dollars (Canadian).
“Every skier is encouraged to wear a helmet, especially beginners like Natasha. But it is not legally enforced and they can always refuse.
"I remember Natasha coming into the shop before her lesson. She seemed cheerful, bright and extremely beautiful. She said she wasn’t a good skier and was a little nervous.”
Richardson will be buried in a private family ceremony near her Millbrook Dutchess County home in New York on Sunday.
The actress' family has requested fans donate to the amfAR foundation for AIDS research, which Richardson was a patron of, instead of sending flowers.

The continuing story of The Twilight Saga: New Moon continues. So let's get right to it, shall we? "Smoking" New Moon Cast First off, let's be very clear about something: We all know that smoking is bad for your health, and I am in no way making an argument below that anyone should start smoking. As someone who smokes, I know just how addictive of a "habit" it is and I know the risks it causes to my health. As any smoker will tell you: it's better to never start smoking than it is to start and to then try and stop. So if you don't smoke,

Lohan & Fonda Pay Tribute To Richardson

Lindsay Lohan and Jane Fonda have led the tributes for tragic actress Natasha Richardson, who died after suffering serious head injuries in a skiing accident.
The Maid in Manhattan star, who was married to actor Liam Neeson, was taken to hospital in Montreal, Canada after the incident on the slopes of Mont Tremblant on Monday.
Neeson rushed to her bedside at the Hopital du Sacre-Coeur de Montreal as doctors battled to save her. He flew her to Lenox Hill Hospital in New York on Tuesday, where he was joined by the actress' mother Vanessa Redgrave and close friends and family.
She was removed from life support on Wednesday morning and died hours later.
Now, Lohan, who played Richardson's daughter in the 1998 remake The Parent Trap, has revealed her fond memories of the loving Brit.
She says, "She was a wonderful woman and actress and treated me like I was her own.
"I didn't see much of her over the years but I will miss her. My heart goes out to her family. This is a tragic loss."
Hollywood veteran Jane Fonda, who first met Richardson when her Julia co-star Redgrave brought her on-set of the 1977 movie, regrets she couldn't visit the actress because she was busy with performances of her Broadway play 33 Variations.
She says, "I first met her on the set of Julia. She was a little girl but already beautiful and graceful. It didn't surprise me that she became such a talented actor.
"I wanted to go to the Lenox Hill Hospital where I was told she had been taken to see if there was anything I could do for Vanessa (Redgrave), any comfort I could bring but today was a two-show day and as the curtain went up tonight I heard the tragic news. It is hard to even imagine what it must be like for her family. My heart is heavy."

Actress Natasha Richardson, reportedly in serious condition with head trauma in a Montréal hospital after a ski accident Monday at Mont Tremblant, was walking around and feeling fine for an hour after her accident, a spokesperson from the ski resort says.
"She was laughing and joking and she walked to her room on her own," Mont Tremblant spokesperson Catherine Lacasse says.
The British-born Richardson, 45, was not wearing a ski helmet when she was taking a private ski lesson on the Nansen, a beginners' run at Mont Tremblant. When she was near the bottom of the run in a section know as the flats, she fell down. According to the spokeswoman, Richardson did not hit anyone or anything before coming to a stop.
"She was accompanied by an experienced ski instructor who immediately called the ski patrol," according to a statement from the resort.Lacasse tells People that there were no cuts, bleeding or other external signs of injury. Ski patrollers assisted Richardson and helped her to her room. She was not put on a stretcher.
About an hour after the fall, Richardson started complaining of headaches. She went to a nearby hospital and was later transferred to the Intensive Care Unit of Sacré Coeur Hospital. (A spokesperson for the hospital would not confirm or deny that Richardson was a patient there.)
According to AccessHollywoood.com, her husband, actor Liam Neeson, 56, was filming the movie Chloe in Toronto when he got the news and rushed to be by Richardson's side.
Richardson, who appeared in The Parent Trap, Maid in Manhattan and Nell has been married to Neeson since 1994. They have two sons, Micheal Richard Antonio, 13, and Daniel Jack, 12.
