Since the beliefs that parents want to instill in their children can vary greatly, we ask that instead of adding your personal opinions about what is right or wrong in a film, that you instead use this feature to help parents make informed viewing decisions by describing the facts of relevant scenes in the title for each one of the different categories: Sex and Nudity, Violence and Gore, Profanity, Alcohol/Drugs/Smoking, and Frightening/Intense Scenes.

Sex & Nudity

One love scene involves the lead characters. Halle Belly is on top of James Bond, she moves forwards and backwards (sexual movement). She moans and kisses him in the face and neck. Not very sexual for a PG-13 film.

Violence & Gore

Intense shootouts and prolonged swordfight.

One character is slashed by a sword on the belly. Little blood is shown. Another character is stabbed in the breasts(indicating it's the heart she stabbed). No blood is shown.

One character is shot, nothing graphic. A man is electrecuted by another man. One character flies out of an airplane and is seen going into the plane's engines. No blood is shown.

Profanity

Bitch is said once.

Bond drinks A character smokes on screen very briefly

James Bond is seen smoking cigars twice while in Cuba, but the first is nescesary to the plot. More importantly, this film had a significant increase in smoking when compared to the immediate predecessors in the series! Fourteen smoking incidents occur in the film, involving eleven different characters.

Using a standardized scoring system, this film received a smoking rating of 4 Butts (on a scale of 0-4 Butts). For more information on the impact of onscreen smoking and the initiation of youth tobacco use, or for more information on the rating system, visit www.smokescreeners.org.

For 13 months Bond is tortured through scorpion stings, head dunking, and very brutal beatings.
