AFTER SCHOOL SPECIAL, 1 October 2000
Author: dhig72 (dhig72@aol.com) from Chicago, Illinois, U.S.A.
I saw this movie when it first aired as an after school special in 1981. I loved it then and have been searching in vain for it on VHS. I also read the novel entitled "HANGIN' OUT WITH CICI". Excellent time travel story.
A trip back in time leaves an impression on a now, grown girl, 4 October 2008

Author: littlecommando from Los Angeles
To this day I have never been able to erase this Afterschool Special from my memory. I was just randomly searching by the only thing I could remember, which was that the girl's name was CiCi. This episode in particular was extremely well shot. The costumes stand out in my mind, and I see that they won a Daytime Emmy for wardrobe. Along with this one, there were many other After School Specials that were just as memorable. Like the one about the grandmother who had special powers? It's shows like these that we could really use in this place we find ourselves in now. Maybe they will re-air them? I can only hope that, at the very least, that the Afterschool Special Series, will grace us all on DVD. Could we be so lucky??
