Goofs:

Revealing mistakes: When Ethan is video taping Angela and Dave next to the pool, he says his line next to the camera. When he is showing the video tape to Sam and Jeff, you can hear Angela's and Dave's voices clear from far away but you never hear Ethan's line.

Funny.

I went on a road trip to North Carolina to see the band Funeral Diner and I found this DVD inexplicably lying in the backseat of my car the next day. When I put it in, I expected it to be absolutely worthless; the type of film that history would forget in 2 years. I loved it, though. Teenaged boys always have a first major crush and feel like they're going crazy when their lack of social grace prevents it from going anywhere, and I don't think I've seen this personified more fully than in Cool Ethan. The movie's charms lie in its ridiculous caricatures of people in this state and the over-the-top fantasies that they conjure up. It wasn't a cathartic or emotional experience, but I laughed a good deal.
