This film is a police movie set after a rapture and is about two cops investigating the disappearances for the FBI. The film is a evangelsim tool and is set after a rapture. The film looks good and is well acted. The film stops short of going into action adventure terroritory but is i suppose good clean cut wholseome christian fun. My problem with these types of movies is academic, it's essentially the same scenario with each movie. Like a bad cliche'. My problem is with all these rapture movies and tv shows if it actually ever happend. I find it hard to beleive no one would know what it was that happend. This is a good film if you like that genre and should be viewed as church service viewing material. The film does stray off the beaten path a little and does tell a story and puts a unsusal human face on it. Much of the dialouge is well written, yet this isn't BULLIT. THE MOMENT AFTER succeeds in doing somethings these other movies don't and stears clear of alot of the doom and gloom of other films. The film deals with the rapture phenomenom recognized bvy theologians as one vairant to revelation. i would love to see them tackle another angle, the unpleasant one to all of this. What if there was no rapture up until the end. there is nothign wrong with these films yet they need new scenarios. Relifgious films need to be redefined. You can tell a story without preaching ye tthe purpose of this film was a supplement to a pastors sermon. Purpose noted. There is a group who views these films as the answer to hollywood i doubt this. However, if they want to clean up movies why not use their own production house to do it and let DIE HARD 4 roll un opposed along with art like 2001 or the GODFATHER. In closing there is somehting unusual in some of the attributes of this movie.a quality not seen in this genre in along time.
