I liked this movie, as the two main subjects in it are endearing.
However, I felt that it ended too soon, and I was disappointed that the interviewer didn't get to explain to his grandmother in more detail why he was making the film (unless I missed it). I don't feel that he made the connection he was seeking to make, between the various ways people need to hide. But hearing his voice at the end, I did feel he experienced a surprised shyness, finding himself the interviewee, and that added an extra facet to the film.
Regardless, I think the most is made of the time used, making this something worth seeing. It has something of the feel of Irene Williams: Queen of Lincoln Road (2005), in that you get to meet some lovable unique older people. There isn't enough of that in film today.
