This disappointing science fiction "thriller" is full of promise but fails miserably to deliver. Scientists, with co-operation from the British military, may have constructed the first man-made "black hole" (an outer-space phenomenon about which not much is really known) in a top-secret laboratory in London; a university professor and his small group of post-grad students try to find the truth. In all, the director and producers have taken a crackerjack plot and turned it into a boring, drawn-out drama, reminiscent of frequent other British attempts to produce espionage thrillers (eg James Bond "thrillers", THE SPY WHO CAME IN FROM THE COLD, etc...). When will they ever get it right? 4/10
