Continuity: In the final sequence, the make and year of police car changes twice. It starts out as a Caprice, becomes a '93-97 Ford Crown Victoria, then changes into a '98-01 model of the same car.
Continuity: While Ruby is riding in the car on the way to her new school, her seatbelt is twisted in one shot, and untwisted in the next.
Continuity: Ruby crashes her car into a gate. In the next scene, the gate is clearly intact.
Continuity: When Ruby is signing on to AOL to check her e-mail, the modem can be heard dialing and connecting before she actually clicks the 'sign on' button.
Factual errors: Ruby's iBook is not connected to a phone line. She could have been using a wireless network (AirPort), but there would be no dial tone (see above) even when the AirPort base station was dialing up.
Factual errors: Three of Ruby's high school friends complain that Ruby has not been returning their e-mails - this is after we see Ruby discovering her AOL account has been terminated. In this case, her friends' e-mails would have bounced back, possibly alerting them that something was amiss.
Continuity: After Ruby's late night swim, she is seen hugging her torso, but the next shot from behind her shows her hugging her shoulders and the following shot is back to her torso before she moves her hands up to hug her shoulders.
Continuity: When the kids are in the police car, the first shot from inside reveals a shotgun pointed upward between the front seats in the middle of the car. The shotgun disappears and reappears in subsequent shots.
Crew or equipment visible: When Ruby walks into the house after going out to dinner with Terry, she crosses the kitchen into the room where Erin was injecting herself. When she passes through the kitchen, there are two very clear faces, most likely crew members, reflected in the glass.
Continuity: When Ruby and Terry are at dinner, her hair is in front of her shoulders and moves behind again repeatedly in subsequent shots.
Continuity: When Erin tells Terry that she's loosing her medical license, her hair is alternately messy/folded behind her ears.
Continuity: When Ruby is smoking in the car with her friends she is in the rear passenger-side seat. When the car pulls up to drop her off she gets out of the driver's-side rear seat.
Continuity: When Ruby is tapping on her iBook waiting to log onto AOL her fingernails are short. In the next scene when she goes to hit the 'save to memory' button on the telephone her fingernails are considerably longer.
Continuity: When Rhett is walking up to take the keys after Terry has passed out, Terry's hand is near the keys but not on them. In the next shot when Rhett takes the keys Terry's hand is over top of the keys.
Continuity: When Ruby and her girlfriends are walking together at school, she is seen clearly holding her lunch. She is in he middle of the group. In the next scene as they round a corner, the girl, not Ruby, walking on the left side of the group is seen dropping Ruby's lunch in the trash.
