Revealing mistakes: When the hotel manager swipes Gerry and Cookie's credit card there is no magnetic strip on the back of the card.
Continuity: As Harlan and his dog begin to run their circuit at the final 'Best In Show' event, the first dog and handler (who had just completed their run) disappear and reappear in different places.
Continuity: Before the Best in Show event near the end of the movie, after Cookie falls and injures her knee, the person holding the terrier changes from Christy to Scott and back.
Continuity: The parachute around Winky's neck moves from the left side to the right between shots.
Continuity: At the barbecue for Winky, while Cookie and Gerry Fleck are singing "God loves Terriers", a male party guest (blonde hair) is shown seated at a table in one shot and standing in a different location only seconds later.
Continuity: When Meg Swan is in the pet shop trying to replace Beatrice's lost bumble bee toy, she picks up a yellow fish. At first the fish's tail is pointing towards the clerk. In the next shot, the fish's head is pointing towards the clerk.
Continuity: During the barbecue for Gerry and Cookie before heading to the Mayflower competition, the beer in the neighbor's glass (behind them as they discus the cream cheese plant) disappears drastically between shots without him taking a sip.
Continuity: When Sherri Ann appears on the AM television show, she has a cup of coffee. When the camera cuts back to her, she is no longer holding it.
Errors in geography: At the party for Winky in Fern City, FL, Gerry says they have "to drive 140 miles out of our way" to visit her old flame, who lives in Akron, OH. Akron OH is almost 350 miles from Philadelphia PA, so it should be more like 700 miles total.
Audio/visual unsynchronized: When Cookie runs into Malcolm at the pre-show cocktail party, after Malcolm says "Louisville" it then cuts to an over-the-shoulder shot of Cookie. Malcolm then says "The Mint Julep...you were working as a waitress there", but his mouth doesn't move.
Revealing mistakes: As the judge nears Hamilton's dog for a closer inspection, "Beatrice" suddenly barks and lunges at her. If you look closely you can see the judges hand closed tightly as she hold the treats used as incentive for the dog to pursue her.
Factual errors: At the end of the movie there is a title that reads, "Six Months Later." However when the movie shows what happened to the Rhapsody in White characters one of them says "It's been a year."
Errors in geography: At one point during the Dog Show, supposedly taking place in Philadelphia, PA, an aerial shot of the arena reveals Mellon Arena in Pittsburgh, PA.
Errors made by characters (possibly deliberate errors by the filmmakers): Cookie and Malcolm say they will visit Philadelphia, where cream cheese is made. Philadelphia cream cheese is named after Philadelphia, New York.
Revealing mistakes: Where the hotel manager swipes Gerry and Cookie's credit card there are clocks on the wall showing times in locations around the world, however all the clocks mistakenly show the same time.
