Beautiful and rich Regina Villareal becomes cold-hearted after her fiancé leaves her standing at the church altar. Heartbroken, she decides never to fall in love again.Regina decides to forget her past and change her lifestyle. She moves to a cattle ranch owned by her family where she lives with her loving aunt and jealous cousin. As the owner of the ranch, Regina takes over the business of the ranch. Unknown to her, the ranch foreman mistreats the workers and commits murder. The foreman lets everyone believe that he is only following Regina's orders. As a result, everyone hates Regina except the hardworking and good-natured Jose Maria, owner of a nearby ranch.
