- The VHS version cuts approximately two hours out of the movie in order to make it fit on two tapes, as opposed to either three single sided DVD's or one double sided and one single sided DVD in the DVD version. Most of the cuts taken alone do not constitute major plot elements, but the extent of all of them put together significantly alter the viewing experience from one version to the other.
