This film takes you back to past times in Norway. The war is hanging like a shadow over the peaceful countryside, but the Norwegain heroes Hjalmar Johansen and Frithjof Nansen brings hope and courage in to the people. Oddemann and his brother as well. As Oddemann lives under the strict rules of his brother, the love of his mother and father, it makes him think. Oddemann brings you back to his world, with his thoughts on life, God, growing up and the social hierarchy. This film is a sweet, warm and nostalgic film, but I expect it to be easier to understand and appreciate for those who are familiar with Norway and it's history and culture. Still it will take you back to your own childhood world, and be a lovely pick-me-up anytime.
