Let Them Eat Cake was such a funny and worthy sitcom that set out to gain one purpose, to make you laugh. Believe me, it succeeded. It was vulgar, crude and ultimately very, very funny. But with no second series surfacing its clear this is yet another great sitcom that disappeared as quickly as it came. Dawn French and Jennifer Saunders were the real stars of the show as Lisette and Colombine, with Saunders seemingly reworking her role from Absolutely Fabulous to a new sitcom character. It was genuinely funny at times but any hopes the producers had of turning it into a modern day Blackadder were dashed quite quickly. It's such a shame, as this was a show that I still watch over and over, my video has nearly worn out! Catch it if you can, it's a true gem.
