Seth is quoted...

"The single most asked question about the show. They can, they can hear him and understand him, its just that he's a baby and for that reason they just don't take what he says with any seriousness."

If the joke/scene requires people to hear Stewie then they hear him, otherwise what people hear (besides Brian and other babies/children) should just be considered "baby talk"

Lacey Chabert

"You know, it was just purely a contractual thing. Lacey Chabert, I think there was a mistake in her contract, and I guess she had not intended to be involved for, like, the full run of the show. I don't even remember. To be honest, I don't really, to this day, know what it was. It was nothing there was no tension or anything. She wanted to go, and she was very cool about it. We obviously don't want to keep anyone there who doesn't want to be there. So, you know, it was early on enough in the show that it wasn't a huge that happens from time to time, you've got to replace a voice actor. Fortunately, what Mila Kunis brought to it, Mila Kunis, was in a lot of ways, I thought, almost more right for the character. I say that Lacey Chabert did a phenomenal job, but there was something about Mila Kunis something very natural about Mila Kunis". -- Seth MacFarlane

Although closed captions have written "effin' cry,"Seth MacFarlane maintains on the DVD commentary that the lyric has always been "laugh and cry." Seth MacFarlane re-recorded the lyric for season 4 and enunciated the words more clearly.

"We are well aware that the labeling of the seasons on these DVDs are confusing, but for some reason FOX in the UK has decided to categorizes the episodes differently to FOX in the States."

"Originally "Family Guy" was only available on DVD in the UK and were sold as seasons 1, 2, and 3. Then the States caught up by selling those seasons as two volumes. Since then FOX has opted for global releases, which seems to have resulted in the UK DVDs (as well other non region 1 areas) continuing to be labelled as seasons despite not being complete seasons."

There's really is no reason for confusion when it comes to the dvd sets. After Season 3, the sets have been released as identical "Volumes" for all regions but remain labeled as "Seasons" or "Series" outside R1. All sets contain the same episodes.

All information below is based on how Family Guy aired originally & presently on FOX in the U.S.

Region 1 ......................................................Region 2,3,4

"Volume 1" (Complete Seasons 1 & 2) = "Season 1" (Complete Season 1 & Seven episodes of Season 2)

"Volume 2" (Complete Season 3) = "Season 2" (Remaining 14 episodes of Season 2)

N/A = "Season 3" (Complete Season 3)

(Sets now become identical but named differently)

"Volume 3" (First 13 episodes of Season 4) = "Season 4" (First 13 episodes of Season 4)

"Volume 4" (Remaining 14 episodes of Season 4) = "Season 5" (Remaining 14 episodes of Season 4)

"Volume 5" (First 13 episodes of Season 5) = "Season 6" (First 13 episodes of Season 5)

"Volume 6" (Remaining 5 episodes of Season 5 and the first 7 episodes of Season 6 (minus Blue Harvest)) = *"Season 7" (Remaining 5 episodes of Season 5 and the first 7 episodes of Season 6 (minus Blue Harvest))

* Presumably

Season Six in over.

Season Seven will start on September 28th w/ (presumably) "Love Blactually"

No. Sony has announced that they WILL NOT feature Blue Harvest on the next volume DVD.

"Blue Harvest" was the fake working title for "Return of the Jedi"

The 1st: DaBoom (Season 2) The 2nd: Blind Ambition (Season 4) The 3rd: No Chris Left Behind (Season 5)

The chicken makes a 4th appearance in Meet The Quagmires (Season 5) but a fight is prevented

Kenny Loggins - I'm Free (Heaven Helps The Man)

Kenny Loggins's "Mr. Night".

The scene is virtually identical to the scene in Caddyshack with Lois replacing Cindy Morgan's character

His name is Herbert - voiced by Mike Henry (His dog is named Jesse)

It was from the movie "Anchors Aweigh." Stewie danced with the legendary Gene Kelly. Originally Gene Kelly danced with Jerry the Mouse of "Tom and Jerry" fame.

Cleveland and Kevin were uninteresting to write for so they were written out of the show. Alex asked for Loretta to be written out because of the strain it took on her voice.

Within the Family Guy world, Kevin is presumed to be away at college, Cleveland Jr is presumed to be living with his mother after she divorced Cleveland and moved from Quahog.

Cleveland Jr. will be appearing in the spin off show "Cleveland" but looking much different then he appeared on Family Guy. He's older, has gained a great deal of weight and requires glasses.

Yes. "Something Something Something Darkside" will be FG's adaptation of "Episode V: Empire Strikes Back". There is no word on an airdate.

The confirmed cast is ... Chris Griffin / Luke Skywalker * Peter Griffin / Han Solo * Lois Griffin / Princess Leia * Stewie Griffin / Darth Vader * Brian Griffin / Chewbacca * Glenn Quagmire / C-3PO * Cleveland Brown / R2-D2 * Herbert / Obi-Wan Kenobi * Ernie the Giant Chicken / Boba Fett * Mort Goldman / Lando Calrissian * Joe Swanson / Imperial Probe Droid

There is also no official word on an "Episode VI: Return of the Jedi" parody but it's a pretty safe bet there will be.

In "Family Guy: No Chris Left Behind (#5.16)", it was revealed his name is Bruce. He is voiced by Mike Henry.

During the "My Black Son" intro, Peter and his black son are biking along a beach and get distracted by a black-hair thin woman, causing them to fall onto the sand. This is a parody of the "John Ritter as Jack Tripper" scene during the first season of "Three's Company."

Also during the "My Black Son" intro there are nods to Punky Brewster (Peter picks up the frozen dinner), "Family Ties" (Peter in the Ohio shirt), "Perfect Strangers" (the revolving door), "Who's the Boss?" (the curtain vacuuming), "Laverne & Shirley" (the glove on the conveyor belt, the doors hitting each other, and the dough landing on Peter and Lois while they kiss), and "Bosom Buddies" (catching fruit with the bag).

"Friends and Lovers" by Gloria Loring and Carl Anderson

"Model Misbehavior" (Peter is actually performing "Eine Kleine Nachtmusik" by Mozart)

Seth MacFarlane has revealed that a Family Guy movie could begin production "within the next year". The animated TV show's creator told TV Week that work will start on a film when producers come up with a viable schedule.

He said: "We do want to do it and we will do it at some point. It's just time. We in the past six months started talking seriously about it. So my hope is that we'll get it going within the next year. "Doing the show is a seven day a week process and finding the time to squeeze in a movie is... I don't know how we're going to do it but well figure it out."

MacFarlane, who also provides voices on the Fox show, claimed that he already has a story in mind for the big screen spinoff. He said: "I have an idea of what it's going to be. It's definitely something that you could not do on the show, which to me is the only reason to do a movie."

"We are in talks with the Fox Feature Dept to do a Family Guy movie yes, we're excited, it's been a long time"

"Whistle While Your Wife Works" - Season 5

Fox, being a "conservative" network, censors parts of Family Guy on the original airings. Sometimes parts are cut, but usually, an alternate, Fox-approved scene is made. TBS typically shows the Fox versions. When is began its syndicated run, local networks, such as the CW, will often used even further censored versions.

In the U.S., the only network to air uncensored (except for profanity) versions is Cartoon Network, i.e. Adult Swim. These versions will generally be the final cuts from Seth MacFarlane and the other producers.

Seth has mentioned they occasionally make 2 or 3 versions of scenes, one for FOX, one for adult swim and sometimes another for the dvds
