Since the beliefs that parents want to instill in their children can vary greatly, we ask that instead of adding your personal opinions about what is right or wrong in a film, that you instead use this feature to help parents make informed viewing decisions by describing the facts of relevant scenes in the title for each one of the different categories: Sex and Nudity, Violence and Gore, Profanity, Alcohol/Drugs/Smoking, and Frightening/Intense Scenes.
Visit our Parents Guide Help to learn more

Sex & Nudity

Note: The number at the beginning of each section refers to how explicit that aspect of the film is on a scale of 1-10. The fraction at the end of the Frightening/Intense Scenes category is the total sum of all the sections out of the highest sum possible (50) and therefore an approximation of how much explicit content of any kind is in the film

Profanity

Rating: 5

Three uses of the f-word, some milder language such as "sh**".

Rating: 3

A man breaks into a veterinarian's office, looking for drugs to ease his pain. He finds a bottle of phenobarbital (a strong barbiturate) and takes some. Later, the empty bottle is discovered and he is told that he took a drug that is used to chemically neuter dogs, although phenobarbital is not actually used for that purpose.

Rating: 5

There are some tense moments. Including the nuclear bombs dropping

An idea of how accurate the TECE (below) is: 5-10 is a little-kid suitable, G-Rated type of film (i.e. Care Bears, Sleeping Beauty); 10-15 is going to be a little harsher, but not by much (i.e. The Incredibles); 15-20 could be pretty high up there (i.e. Indiana Jones), 20-25 is going to pretty darn adult (i.e. This); 25-30 is going to be a film most likely not suitable for anyone under 17(i.e. Braveheart); 30-40 is going to be an absolutely, positively adults-only film (i.e. Saving Private Ryan). 40 and up is pretty much high R / NC-17 (i.e. Pulp Fiction)

Total: 25/50
