I read the book after I saw this episode. In general I watch every crime series, especially the British police dramas. Unfortunately, I haven't seen the first few "Dalziel and Pascoe" episodes. I think this has to be my favourite, though. Dalziel and Pascoe are investigating a murder that Dalziel was a witness to, in a way, and at the same time, trying to work out who is sending Dalziel letters about an intended suicide. This is a very clever episode, and had me guessing right up to the end, and even that was totally unpredictable. That's what I love about the series. I'd recommend it to anyone interested in murder mysteries, especially if you enjoyed "Murder Call."
