Aki and Gray share one passionate kiss.

Military men working for the villain hold their weapons on Gray and his crew. One of the men then shoots Aki in the chest (she's injured, but lives) and Gray's men grab and hit these other men (with another shot fired, one of the men being knocked out and another killed when his spirit is sucked from his body by a phantom that comes through the floor of a spacecraft).

Aki has a dream where a nuclear-type explosion sweeps through and kills/vaporizes many alien creatures. She then has another where she and Gray see the opposing alien forces attacking and clashing with one another (with many of them apparently killing others). We then see the big nuclear-type explosion again, and then many of them across the planet that then explodes.

Various phantom creatures make their way through a barrier city, sucking the spirits out of various humans (thus killing them and we later see many dead, but not bloody or gory bodies on the floor). Various military people then open fire on the phantoms. A huge explosion then follows.

A soldier is attacked by a phantom and we see blood on his hand from his POV as he lies on the floor, dying.

Aki, Sid and the Deep Eyes Squad crash their rover while escaping New York, as a result, one of the soldiers gets a beam stuck in his abdomen and we see some blood after the fact.

Gray has some bruises on his head after the pod carrying him and Aki crashes into the canyon.

The Zeus Cannon fires several times into the Earth, causing massive explosions up until the point that it's power consumes and destroys the entire ship (killing everyone aboard).

At least 2 uses of shit, 8 hells, 4 damns, 1 Son of a Bitch (but the "bitch" part is cut off by gun fire so its hard to hear) and 1 use of "Jesus"

General Hein is seen putting down a glass of liquor on his desk while talking to a soldier.

The many sights of the various ghost-like alien beings (some large, some small and many of them appearing monstrous and/or menacing) could be unsettling or scary to younger viewers (particularly when they pursue and/or kill humans).

Aki tells Gray a rather upsetting story about how one of the spirits was a terminally-ill little girl.

A character attempts suicide by putting a gun to his head, but he changes his mind and immediately stops.
