The picture deals as an unsuccessful actor(Lochlyn Munro)takes a work with a botched private detective(Leslie Nielsen). They both go to a small village,Beaver Ridge(Oregon),where a killer is trying murder to a rich proprietary who is cared for a beautiful girl(Vanessa Angel). While a rugged sheriff(William Forsythe)meddles in their investigations.
It's agreeable movie but uneven comedy. The film blends humor, giggles, tongue in check, and is quite amusing. However there's gaps storyline and is badly narrated. The movie is a spoof but is different to previous Nielsen films. Thus, his humor is moderated ,the characters aren't such excessive as:¨Naked gun,Wrongfully accused,Spy hard and Mr.Magoo¨. The picture obtained limited success ,attained a few box office and in many countries was direct to video. The screenwriter is Billy Bob Thornton who is much better like actor because the plot is average. The film is regularly directed by James Keach(also better actor than director). The motion picture will like to comedy enthusiastic and Leslie Nielsen fans
