One of the best stand up comedy concert films: a showcase of budding comedians introduced by the king of the one-liners himself: Mr. Rodney Dangerfield.
Almost a complete treat from start to finish, the only declivity being Andrew Dice Clay's sexist, racist, and homophobic monologue (which contribute heavily to the film's NC-17 rating); a precurser for his later DICE RULES.
Aside from Clay's puerile, scarcely-a-chuckle routine, an exceptional compilation of the wittiest comedians--and comedienne--around; along with Rodney, Larry Clarke is a particular standout.
*** out of ****.
Rated NC-17 for explicit language. (1991 re-rating; originally rated X in 1987)
