Trivia:
The book of poems from which Sabine reads was actually written by Robert Hass, who plays the part of the poet. Later, when Cally is in the bookstore, both that book and his earlier volume of poems are seen on the shelf. more
Goofs:
Continuity: When Cally first visits Sabine, she is carrying Sabine's diary and a white box of chocolates. Cally put the chocolates on the poet's bedside table as she introduces herself to him. She also returns Sabine's diary to her, and does not get it back again. However, later on in the film we see Cally standing outside the poet's house, and she is once again carrying Sabine's diary and the box of chocolates. more

Clea Duvall steals the film., 11 April 2003

The cast is not the best and the story isn't either but I loved watching such fine work from Clea DuVall. Why is this woman not in more good films? She is so wonderful in this film, she is sensitive and touching, you can't keep your eyes off of her. Wonderful Clea wonderful! Thanks for such a inspiring job! Eric Roberts is quite good as well, he too suffers from getting into a good film at times. Daryl Hannah does not do her best work but all in all she was ok. Clea surely steals the film though and I gave a rating of 7 on her acting alone.
