Part II of our exclusive coverage (read part I here) from the set of Powerman 5000's "Super Villain" from their new album Somewhere On The Other Side Of Nowhere (see our advance review here).
On a rubble strewn indoor set in Alhambra, California, Powerman 5000 frontman Spider One sings and gyrates for his new video "Supervillain". Directed by Almost Human FX wizard Rob Hall, Spider explains "it's everything in his life flashing through a supervillain's head right before he dies!"
Taking a quick break, the singer explains, "It's all about robots, villains and destruction!"
Pat Jankiewicz/Fangoria: I see a big Marvel Comics/Jack Kirby influence on this video...
Spider One: There is--i was a Marvel kid growing up. When I was really young collecting comics, I didn't 'get' Jack Kirby. I collected in the age of George Perez and John Byrne. Those are my favorite artists; John Byrne

Fear Itself: Season 1 is finally heading to DVD on September 15th. NBC's chilling anthology series was an offshoot of Showtime's very popular collaborative experiment Masters of Horror, and like that show, Fear Itself allowed some of horror's biggest and best known directors to create their own self-contained stories that tied into a bigger mythology. Created by Masters of Horror's Mick Garris, this latest horrifying shocker of a series also utilized some of the biggest horror writers working today. John Landis, Breck Eisner, Stuart Gordon, and Darren Lynn Bousman are just some of the famous names that helped create this thirteen-episode experience in sheer terror. Also throwing his directorial hand into the mix is Ronny Yu, best known for concocting such spook house staples as Freddy vs. Jason and Bride Of Chucky. Yu, working with acclaimed sci-fi and horror writer Dan Knauf, crafted the third episode entitled "Family Man

Bride of Chucky and Freddy vs. Jason helmer Ronny Yu is closing in on a number of upcoming projects, including two in the horror genre.
"I'm developing two projects here in Hong Kong," he tells ShockTillYouDrop.com. "One is a historical big action piece and the other one is actually animated. Again, I'm trying my hand to make an animated movie in the horror genre. It'd be a horror animated Chinese one and that one I'm very excited about so hopefully I can get the script right. It's a Chinese vampire story. It's original, it's my own."
Yu also tells us he's received a script, "which is a lousy script, but I thought the idea was fantastic. It takes place in Australia. The way it's set up there with the outback and a remote area . the story is

Creepshow (Bd) - Warner Bros.
Amazon.com says: Inspired by the controversial E.C. Comics of the 1950s--which also provided the title and inspiration for the popular Tales from the Crypt TV series--director George Romero and screenwriter Stephen King serve up five delightfully frightful stories. Utilizing comic-book panels, animated segues, and exaggerated lighting and camera angles, Romero and cinematographer Michael Gornick come very close to replicating a horror comic in film format. The results mix fine acting with the morbid sense

A certified Fango Fiend and winner of a 2006 Fangoria Chainsaw Award for his "Killer Film", The Devil's Rejects, Rob Zombie has built an impressive career in multiple creative mediums.
Now, with his second visit to Haddonfield set to arrive in U.S. theaters this Friday, Fangoria takes a look at the music and cinema of Rob Zombie, from White Zombie to Halloween II.
The Man
Rob Zombie (born Robert Bartleh Cummings) has harbored an affinity for the macabre since childhood. Obsessed with the sinister, and fascinated by self conjured grim fantasies, Zombie was destined to swim the dark waters. His early professional journeys into the genre saw him traveling into the musical realm alongside his band White Zombie (named for the 1932 film starring Bela Lugosi), which Rob founded in 1985. White Zombie’s aggressive and pernicious sound won crowds over, and Zombie’s menacing lyrics made the man and band a

It seems like yesterday when Katherine Heigl was an ingénue who starred in Bride Of Chucky and, more prominently, TV’s Roswell. With her role as the neurotic yet lovable Izzie on Grey's Anatomy and leading roles in box-office hits like Knocked Up and 27 Dresses, Heigl is now considered a Hollywood A-lister. And she hasn't been shy about wielding some of the [...]

Exclusive: Investigating A Haunting In Connecticut—Part Two

A Haunting In Connecticut, the fact-based story of a family dealing with supernatural forces in their new home that target their teen son—who’s already suffering from cancer—marks the first meaty role for 22-year-old co-star Kyle Gallner (previously seen to much less sympathetic effect in Red). The young actor was looking forward to the challenge offered by the film, which opens March 27 from Lionsgate.
“Kyle from the get-go really understood the complexity of this character,” producer Andrew Trapani says during the film’s shoot. “In a sense, he has the most difficult part, because he has to be somebody you sympathize with due to his cancer, but then you have to be a little bit afraid of him, because he could be the antagonist. It’s a tightrope that he has to walk, and it was apparent that he had the chops to execute this.”

For the past fifteen years, Static-x has been delivering their crushing brand of industrial metal (self-dubbed "evil disco") to the masses. On March 17th, the band will release Cult Of Static, their sixth studio album, coming on the eve of the tenth anniversary of their platinum-selling debut, Wisconsin Death Trip. Last night, Fango caught up with bassist Tony Campos, who along with frontman Wayne Static, has been in the band since the beginning. What followed was a conversation about the band, their new album, and their long-running connections to the horror genre.
James Zahn: So you've got Cult Of Static being released almost 10 years to the date that Wisconsin Death Trip (released March 23, 1999) came out. How do you feel Static-x has evolved over the course of the past decade?
Tony Campos: It's weird, ya know? We did some experimenting on the third and fourth albums, and then went

Friday The 13th: Body counts, boobies and bloody good quotes

Well, it’s been seven years since Jason Voorhees chopped up foolish teens exclusively. Sure he shared screen time with Freddy Krueger in 2003’s crossover Freddy Vs Jason, yes he accumulated quite the body count in the film, yes it was a lot of fun, and yes the film was pretty damn successful, but diehard fans such as myself certainly missed that special “alone time” with Mr. Voorhees. Now Jason is back, solely stealing the spotlight and the lives of reckless youngins, and despite a mostly negative critical response and dismal box office staying power, he's still one massive murdering machine.
Over the last 29 years Jason has claimed more victims than even imaginable. From random teens, to strange drifters, to diner employees, Jason has eliminated just about everyone to (unluckily) grace the big screen with the masked menace. As a result of Voorhees’ obnoxious kill rate, fans have pondered the
