This is so way out it's awesome.Seems to be a bit of a spoof of StarTrek. It's original to say the least. The Captain is so dense, but so likable. He has an immense ego, but doesn't realise it himself. And it's so humorous the way he ignores Scarlett's romantic advances. Nine-headed Jones is way cool too. He's my favourite. The fish guy is so sensitive at the wrong moments. There is some really good characterisation here.Imagine stoking the engines on a starship like old-time steamships. Imagine the mission of the Boiling Hell (name of Star's ship) being to search out new civilisations and sell them stuff. Naming new planets after the captain. Moons carved to the captain's likeness. Weird looking aliens. Capt. Star sitting in a wheelbarrow at the end of each episode writing his totally dry and inappropriate memoirs. Nothing is predictable which makes this series so cool. For some sci-fi humour, you can't beat this series. I don't think there are very many episodes because I keep seeing the same ones repeated on the Space channel. This is an oddity, but it's worth watching. Maybe not the best animation, but it will give you a chuckle. For some reason IMDb didn't have a rating spot for this. But I rate this 7 out of 10.
