Poor editing, terrible acting, sloppy photography stomp all over this surfing movie that does more harm than good for the sport. The fact that drama was included in this joke makes for a less than forgiving critique from this reviewer. Zalman King is not really known for engaging films but at least in post-production you do not have to flush everything you worked hard on down the toilet.
Three surfer buddies venture around the world looking for the next big wave. Later on they join more buddies with the same passion.
The acting is too much. The screen writing is just as rough. Some moments near the end step up a notch so you can enjoy and actually see for more than five seconds the surfers actually surf. The cinematography also is given enough breathing room to shine only for a moment. But do not be fooled. IN GOD'S HANDS is terrible. Stay away and wait for a real movie to give surfing the credit it rightfully deserves.
