  • Continuity: When Miles and Marlyin are eating dinner in the restaurant, Marylin is holding her wine glass around the bowl. In the next shot, she is then holding it by the stem.

  • Continuity: In Miles Massey's first meeting with Marilyn Rexroth, Marilyn's necklace is hanging slightly off centre. In the next shot, it is hanging perfectly. The necklace moves in these two positions for the next few shots.

  • Continuity: Miles' black Mont Blanc fountain pen is precisely placed in front of him as he is sitting at his otherwise empty desk. When the camera returns, the pen is still immaculately placed but facing the other way.

  • Miscellaneous: In Massey's first meeting with Rexroth, the water spit from his mouth onto the table appears and disappears between camera shots.

  • Continuity: When Marilyn and Miles are at the restaurant her hair goes back and forth from behind her shoulders.

  • Continuity: While Miles and Marilyn are having dinner, Marilyn's hair in close up, especially on her right side, is hanging in front of her, but in profile it's hanging down her back.

  • Miscellaneous: When Miles awaits the senior partner, he picks up the March-April, 2004 issue of the spoof magazine "Living Without Intestines", but the film takes place in 2003.

  • Continuity: After his keynote speech in the NOMAN convention, he tucks in his shirt and heads for a bar. As he walks up to the bar counter, you can see that his shirt is once again untucked.

  • Continuity: During Miles's keynote speech at the NOMAN convention, his hair repeatedly goes from being perfect (combed to the side) to falling onto his forehead, even though he never touches it.

  • Factual errors: Much of the film's plot is driven by inaccurate representations of California divorce law. Under the community property theory, factors like infidelity are virtually irrelevant to the distribution of property upon divorce.
