Patch's ('Williams, Robin') roommate in the mental hospital is played by Michael Jeter. In The Fisher King (1991), Jeter also played an insane companion of Williams'.

Goofs:

Audio/visual unsynchronized: At the Gesundheit Institute, one of the patients is watching the Marx Brothers film Duck Soup (1933). But the audio track doesn't match the portion of the film shown on the television screen.

I watched this movie for the first time tonight, and had high expectations. I'm not going to say I hated it, or loved it, it did touch me, but not as I had expected. I loved the way the beginning had me guessing, about who he (Patch) was, and from there the trials and tribulations. But what followed, I found that suddenly I was lost, the movie was only an hour running, and I was wondering where the end was. I guess what impressed me was how focused the movie was, and what most unimpressed me was when the focus was lost. Still I do recommend this movie, it is entertaining, if you ignore the "antics" of a 40ish child, and believe in the sentiment of this "True to life story".
