Factual errors: During the sniper scene at the golf course the shooter cocks his weapon like a bolt action rifle after each shot. The rifle he is using is the M14 automatic rifle. It is a gas operated blowback rifle. This means that the rifle will automatically cock and load itself after each shot barring the need for the sniper to cock it manually. moreQuotes:

This could have easily been a Hollywood hit. If they'd replaced Robert Patrick with someone like Val Kilmer, kept Michael Rooker and, although Mandylor is very well cast, replaced him with someone like Josh Harnett or Ryan Phillipe, that alone would've got a Hollywood success. It would've needed a director like John McTiernan or a producer like Jerry Bruckheimer. More effects, more script, overromantisized, and edited on the gore-factor, that would've made hit. Having said that, this is very good for what it is. Mike Rooker is nicely cast as the distant and focused FBI agent while Robert Patrick provides an entertaining co-lead as the SWAT leader turned vigilante murderer. Very little known TV-movie actress, Diane DiLascio, is badly cast as the Detective working with Rooker's FBI guy. Anyone would've been better. But Louis Mandylor was exceptional as the gifted rookie cop, bought by Patrick and his SWAT mates to join their team in illegaly exterminating criminals. It does have quite an unexpected ending, an irony for our femme heroine. And the assistance of Real SWAT and Police teams on the set really provides an authentic realism, not too often found in those covert SWAT type movies. Worth seeing for some decent thrills and an overall action-packed picture. But don't expect a dramatically ground-breaking film.
