Better than some would expect, 2 December 2003
Author: edmundmuskie from America

When I first started watching this show I did largely because there was nothing else on and I liked the first movies and I might like this show. The show is actually quite funny, funnier than I expected it to be. The show was sillier than the movies but it was great overall. As you might expect there is nothing accurate from this movie to real police training and the show should be taken with a grain of salt.

What I can't believe is that the writers filled an entire hour every week and made it funny. Perhaps an hour was a little too long, but it was still decent. Returning from the movies in a few parts was Michael Winslow (the sound effects guy) for a few episodes and Joe Flaherty was the commandant this time. Tackleberry's sons were in this one and the dormitories were called Lassard dormitories, names after the Commandant I the movies. This was much better than I expected. I wish this one was on a little bit longer. I thought the show had potential.

Then again like the movies were after the third installment the jokes may have worn very thin and the show might have gone downhill. Still this show was real good while it was on and had enough goofiness and craziness to remind us of the funny Police Academy
