• Continuity: The two mermaids in the pool at the back of the bar are shown wearing goggles in some shots but not in others.
  
  
• Continuity: Vitti's two children disappear immediately after he introduces them.
  
  
• Factual errors: Ossining Prison (Sing Sing) is a NY State prison, not a Federal prison.
  
  

• Continuity: When Vitti is getting ready for the big meeting he sees in his mirror a television ad that reminds him of his father. Before he sees it the TV faces the audience, then must turn to be seen in the mirror. After Vitti sees it, he sits on his bed to watch the commercial, so the TV must again turn back around toward the audience.
  
  
• Continuity: The doctored recording of Vitti includes the word "gonna" which he never actually said in the original.
  
  
• Crew or equipment visible: Prior to the guy falling from the hotel window, there is a lot of gunplay with the guy chasing Jelly and Jimmy down a short hallway in Vitti's suite. As they pass the hall closet, there is a wire visible that pulls the closet open.
  
  
• Audio/visual unsynchronized: Looking through the viewfinder, pictures taken by the FBI show Pauly walking on the water side to the left of the doctor. Later, when the photos are shown, their positions are reversed.
  
  
• Factual errors: Jelly and then the Doctor say 'consiglieri' meaning the doctor's would-be position in Vitti's family. However, the correct form would be 'consigliere' that is an advisor in Italian. The word 'consiglieri' is the plural from 'consigliere'.
  
  
• Continuity: In the first shot of Primo confronting Paul outside the warehouse, we see a gun tucked in his waistband; in subsequent shots of Primo, the gun is gone.
  
  
• Continuity: When they are walking on the beach they cast long shadows to their right indicating early morning. Other shots show small shadows meaning noontime.
  
  
• Continuity: When the Jeep rear-ends the Lincoln, the dashboard lights are all off, indicating the headlights are off. Outside of the vehicle, the lights are all on.
  
  
• Factual errors: During the open sequence of the gangsters meeting at Appalacian, which is a true event, FBI agents are shown participating in the raid. At the time of the raid, J. Edgar Hoover, the head of the FBI was still taking the stance that the Mafia did not exist and therefore no federal agents were involved in the raid. It was conducted by New York state troopers only.
  
  
• Continuity: At the start of the movie when the two mobsters throw the farmer off and hi-jack his tractor, the farmer disappears when the tractor starts to turn to run and then run over the corn.
