Factual errors: The crew holds radio conversations with Houston while in orbit around Mars. This is impossible: radio waves take several minutes to travel from Mars to Earth. moreFAQ

Wow, I was amazed how bad this movie was. I mean part 1 wasn't a classic, but it was still a good sci-fi movie. But this one... The actors were all absolutely useless because it seems that none of them really acted. I've rarely seen actors who look so bored on screen. The screenplay was a joke because the story was crap and the logical faults were quite obvious (it was interesting to see that alien kids are born with clothes on and I asked myself things like: Why must Eve be prevented to see men in reality when she can see them on TV? Was the security in the laboratory really so bad that a woman can just run outside? And can you really learn driving by watching 'Dukes of Hazzard'?) The editing was awful, the directing painful and when take all that away what is left: right, just the gore, the amazing splatter effects. Well, I've seen a lot of films were people are killed in very anatomic ways but here it wasn't only very disgusting but also totally senseless. You could hear the director saying: 'Yeah, let's throw some more blood on the screen, so they can't see the holes in the script!' And must the end really have been? Must they really leave the door open for another one? I really hope not.
