Trivia:
Most of the fire trucks used in the movie were made by the Crown Corporation, a fire apparatus maker now closed down. The Crown fire trucks in the movie can be easily recognized by the double-vertical headlights. moreGoofs:
Factual errors: Los Angeles lies near the San Andreas fault and the plot is that magma rises through this fault in the city. However, the San Andreas fault is a transform boundary which means the plates move past each other - not opening and producing magma. Furthermore, the San Andreas Fault passes through Palmdale, over 35 miles to the North West from the location of the movie. moreSoundtrack:

I have to say that i had low expectations, since these flicks seldom are good. But, what the heck, my brother started the film... and it was then i started to puke. No, but seriously how could anybody in this world like this film. It was disastrously worthless. Mortal kombat rocks in comparison. Everything was so DUMB. Like when this "enormous hero of a fire-fighter" was to help this guy in the sub-way, choosing to throw him to the others and taking his own life. I MEAN WHAT!! That was like the most pathetic scene ever made. And at the end Tommy is to save his daughter and a little boy by running something like 500 metres just to push her away... WHY THE HELL DIDN'T SHE JUST WALK THIS VERY METRE. The whole flick was purely based on making "extreme-hero-scenes" which were all incredibly silly. The sentimentality really flew in this film. How the heck could Tommy Lee-Jones ever star in this crap(i'm ashamed of him). Every actor was bad, even Tommy, but the worst acting of all goes to Anne Heeche. BOY, did she act over or what!!! The only reason i managed to see to the end was because i knew i could walk out of that room being able to say "I HAVE SEEN THE WORST FILM EVER". And the tragic thing is that there are people who actually liked it(I share nothing with you, be so sure)
