During the making of the movie, Jamie Williams was bitten in the foot by a chimp. The bondage on his foot in some scenes in the widescreen version.

Goofs:

Continuity: When Mowgli and Harrison are running on the trains roof, they are running towards the train's end. People in the windows are looking in the opposite direction.

Not too shabby

The eye catcher in this movie are the animals. It's packed full of them, well trained and all over the place. Some of the acting is a bit corny, but Jamie Williams makes a decent Mowgli.

I haven't read the book, so I don't quite know what to compare too. Mowgli is captured by an American man working for the circus. The boy escapes, and the man hires some people to help track down the boy. Unfortunately, one of these men are after Mowgli for more personal reasons. Mowgli will need the help of his animal friends to stay alive. And along the way he meets some interesting new friends, including the king of an abandoned old city of chimps, and a snake charmer.

Well, I was fairly pleased with this movie. I believe it won an award of excellence by the film advisory board. The black panther is quite rare, so it was interesting to see him in this film.
