| Peter W. Simeon <simeon@imdb.com> (18 February 1999) This is very good laserdisc. The picture is sharp, more or less noise free and has only a minimum of aliasing problems. Shadow detail and color saturation is also quite good. The sound is a bit disapointing. Although the music sounds great, the frequency reange of the center channel is sometimes limited, making the voices sounding artificial. There are not many surround effects in this movie and it does not contain many atmospheric sounds either. It is no problem that the sound is in Dolby Surround only instead of Dolby Digital 5.1. |
