Since the beliefs that parents want to instill in their children can vary greatly, we ask that instead of adding your personal opinions about what is right or wrong in a film, that you instead use this feature to help parents make informed viewing decisions by describing the facts of relevant scenes in the title for each one of the different categories: Sex and Nudity, Violence and Gore, Profanity, Alcohol/Drugs/Smoking, and Frightening/Intense Scenes.

Sex & Nudity

There is no nudity or sexually active scenes in this movie. There are sexual themes and references. One of the root characters in the early part of the film is a woman who resorts to prostitution. There are references of her getting involved with men. There is a scene where there are many prostitutes waiting on the street and this character gets harassed and attacked with snow. She also gets hit by the police. There is a scene where you see the same woman who is now ill and offering herself to a man (for rent payment) by moving covers away from her showing her in her underwear (but he refuses). Many of the prostitutes wear low cut dresses displaying cleavage. A woman says it costs 1 frank to get in bed with her and because she is sick he implies that it would be like having sex with a corpse. Many of the prostitutes flirt with the men.

Violence & Gore

There is very little blood in the movie, some slaps and hits and some war related shooting. For a short part of the film there is a revolutionary uprising that takes place and some minor battle sequences are portrayed related to this, which involves some people being shot at a distance. One child ventures out to collect items from dead soldiers and is shot. One character dies of an illness. One character kills himself by jumping into a river.

Profanity

Many uses of the word whore, prostitute, slut, and bastard. As men are harassing a prostitute on the street, the phrase "lets give her tits a little color" is used as the man grabs a womans nipples, which is seen from a distance.

Drinking is shown throughout and a few drunk people.

Several incidents of assault and hitting, some against women, there is a scene where characters are running away from the police jumping from a roof and climbing a wall. Some child peril.
