Continuity: In the very final scenes of the movie, Jean Valjean is seen walking along the riverbank. He walks past the same across-the-river background shrubbery twice.
Continuity: When Javert pushes Valjean into the table and onto the floor the leg breaks off. In the next shot the leg is still attached to the table.
Errors in geography: The funeral procession/disturbances is filmed on the square in front of the Prague castle. St Vitus cathedral in the background is visually altered to look like Notre Dame in Paris. Near the end of the scene, for a fraction of a second, the real St Vitus is visible because it is left unaltered.
Revealing mistakes: Long Live The Republic - after the leaders of the republic are assassinated, the older man in the middle falls to the ground, but not before turning his head to a more comfortable position.
Errors made by characters (possibly deliberate errors by the filmmakers): The character of GRANTAIRE is listed in the credits as GRANTIER.
Anachronisms: At Lamarque's funeral the band plays "Grande symphonie funèbre et triomphale" which Hector Berlioz composed in 1840, eight years after these events.
Continuity: When Marius hands over his love-letter to Cosette it switches from his right hand to the left as the camera angle changes.
Continuity: When Fantine is sick and in bed, she coughs up blood and smears it on her face. In the next scene there is no trace of blood on her face.
