This movie is very typical in both of the categories it fall into. Its a typical and predictable cop movie, and its a standard Eddie Murphy Movie. Metro isn't necessary a bad movie but nothing about the movie stands out. The acting, characters, plot, and comedy are just okay. Sometimes the humor would make me laugh and sometimes it wouldn't. There were plenty of dry scenes and a few good scenes. (The best scenes are without a doubt, when Eddie has to negotiate with the criminals) Some of the dialogue you could easily make fun of. (When Eddies love interest tells him that he couldn't save everyone I felt like I was watching Spider-Man) there are plenty of clichés (the good friend that gets killed, angry police chief, and partner that the main character doesn't originally like but over the course of the film starts to like him) If you like Eddie Murphy and his comedy you would probably like this movie, but I do think it can be overlooked
