Trivia:

Before the film was finished, Director Paul Thomas Anderson sent a rough copy to New Line Cinema for them to do the trailer for the film. The movie was pirated and distributed before it was released. The pirated work print includes many scenes not in the movie or DVD deleted scenes and were possibly deleted to avoid the NC-17 rating- as some are very explicit.

Goofs:

Anachronisms: In the scene where they are filming in the limousine, which is supposed to be in 1983, the limousine is a 1985 or newer model.

Another Academy snub!

This is not so much of a review as it is a testament that it has been proven, yet again, that the Academy rewards money, not artistic accomplishment. And I must say I am saddened that this usually artistic and intelligent band of imbd members have left this off the top 250. Boogie Nights is powerful, raw, and gutsy through script, direction and acting. Very few movies can claim this triple crown.
