"The Prophecy II" might stand below the original movie, but I couldn't help but notice how many good elements there are in this film. They help greatly in making it not bad, such as the storyline, acting, and the presentation of the movie. The character development is as good as the first movie, but that's only a small bit of what lies in this film.Christopher Walken is definitely at his best in this sequel to "The Prophecy". He's even better than he was in the original. His lines are so good, and he's such a good actor. These movies might not play as a jump-out-at-you horror movie, but his acting will definitely make you shiver. Everyone knows that he always looks dead, and that just adds to everything that's above.Russell Wong is Danyael, an angel sent from heaven to make love to a human girl named Valerie Rosales. This gets her pregnant, and it leaves her with a fast-growing human/angel baby inside of her. That particular baby is prophesized to end the war of heaven vs. hell. They don't say how in this movie, but that's why this is a trilogy. The fact that Gabriel (Christopher Walken) has such a limited knowledge of technology is practically laugh-out-loud in this movie. He brings a girl back from the dead and has her do as he says. A hilarious part in the movie is when he tells her to show him how to use a two-way radio, and she uses something else instead (I won't spoil, just see the movie and laugh at that part). The story continues from the first movie, with the war going on, and Gabriel not stopping at ruining the prophecy of success for everyone. How he returns in this movie is Lucifer's doing, the angel responsible for what happened to him at the end of the first movie. The Garden of Eden is now a factory, with a single dying tree and one apple left.Eric Roberts is Michael, another archangel. In this movie, he is responsible for what happens to Gabriel, but only after helping Valerie survive. The movie is great on these terms, which makes the movie very enjoyable.
