A comedy that shows the Hong Kong people as they really are, OBSESSIVE and Naive.
Tony Leung is back in his usual comedic self as Wong Tai-Fung who cons people with religion. A cynical man who lost his faith as a child, Fung's life changes drastically from a jobless conman to a state of the art Buddhism recruiter, all through the meeting of Chun Chan. Jordan Chan plays Chun Chan whose out to become a great actor but eventually becomes Fung's accomplice in the greatest con in Hong Kong history, without even knowing it. With clever tricks and maybe even some help from the 'higher power', Chun becomes the beloved Buddha god in which the Honkies admire to an almost shameless state. A nice ending to a slap stick/dark comedy, keep an eye for the end snippet of the gods on the moon.
A good watch for a Saturday night. B+
