Cross-racial affair stepped over the Australian aborigine line. Their fatal affair at the sacred site effectively left undertone of its guilt and empathy whole way through, cohering this film. Then story headed walkabout confronting the two cultures. This film isn't about conscience or cultural crash. Both stand firm in their beliefs. Notice the aborigine has believable myth which weights more to us than Egyptian spell, African voodoo, or other cultures'. That pulls us energetically to this story. Bryan Brown who produced this film was very good here, carried real about our civilized order. David Gulpilil who was the aborigine boy in the Nicolas Roeg's master piece 'Walkabout' good to see still he's acting--who played the pivotal role.
