(1998-1999) Year three of the Earth mission by a quartet of alien explorers trying to figure out the human experience securely hidden in their human skins. John Lithgow is their High Commander, who poses as a professor in a third rate university, Kristen Johnston their tough guy Lieutenant reborn as a beautiful young woman, French Stewart (whose eyes are as narrow as his intellect) is their communications officer, and Joseph Gordon-Levitt the elder statesman and intelligence expert stuck in the hormonally raging body of an adolescent boy. Jane Curtin is a fellow professor who is oddly charmed by Lithgow’s bizarre behavior. Woefully clueless about the social currency of contemporary America, they comes off as a cross between The Coneheads, Mork from Ork, and the Bundy family from Married… With Children, only funnier. The farcical sitcom was created by Bonnie and Terry Turner (That 70s Show). 27 episodes on 4-discs in a digipack with a “talking” slipsleeve.
