Trivia:

Matt Hundley was not the first choice to do special effects for this film. Another special effects artist started doing the effects for the film but mid way through, he said "I'll be right back, I'm going to get a pack of smokes," and never came back.

Goofs:

Factual errors: An oft-quoted rule of nature states that for an animal's increase in size, the weight increases by the cube of the increase while surface area only increases by the square. This means that neither the mosquitoes' legs nor their wings would be able to support them or let them fly. They would be helpless, trapped on the ground.

I caught Mosquito on cable the other week, and just had to watch... This movie is so horribly bad it's good. The premise: 4-foot mosquitos terrorize a group of people. The plot: non-existent. The acting: Cheesier than a Velveeta factory. And yet, you can't resist watching. It's actually a hilarious movie. But you have to be in the right frame of mind - if you can't watch a bad movie and laugh at it, you will hate this movie. Even if you can, it's not worth watching more than once. But see it just once; grab some friends, put on pajamas, pop a huge bowl of buttered popcorn, and laugh until you soil yourself.
