MGM did recompose one shot where a boom mike came down into the picture. It is in Q's lab where he blows up the dummy with the grenade pen and Bond says "The writing's on the wall". The boom mike was clearly visible in the theatrical release.
Koala comments on alt.video.laserdisc: "For the picture quality, the color is brilliant and sharpness is good. There is some noise in some scene but overall, it is excellent, thanks to THX.
For the AC-3 sound effect, it is amazing! Full of effect from different directions... The bass is rich and go very down. One weakness is that the gun shooting sound do not have enough dynamic range but the bullet hitting sound does!" |
